All new NICE Guidance updates in the last quarter have been reviewed by the DemDx Clinical Governance committee to ensure our clinical content remains up to date and complies with national best practice. The following topics were deemed to be relevant to primary care and changes have been made to align DemDx platform content with the latest clinical guidance.
Brain and CNS Cancer: Recognition and referral
• DemDx content reviewed and updated in line with update.
Childhood Cancer: Recognition and referral
• Clearer red flags added for Wilms tumour
• Updated referral recommendations considering parents/carer persistent concern and anxiety
GI Tract (lower) Cancer: Recognition and referral
• Link added for further information on QFIT testing
Urological Cancer: Recognition and referral
• Action added to check PSA level in erectile dysfunction
NICE update on Adrenal Insufficiency
• DemDx content reviewed and updated in line with NICE update
NICE update on adult tiredness and fatigue
• DemDx content reviewed and updated in line with update
• Ferritin and bone profile added to suggested blood panel in recommendations
